The activities of CAP – Cities Art Projects address a range of different audiences, for each of which we aim to ensure a participatory and engaging experience. CAP's goal is to foster in each individual a process of personal empowerment and a renewed sense of ownership over their role in society. The impact we seek to achieve among the stakeholders involved, over the medium to long term, is independent exploration and the activation of further processes of socio-cultural renewal, building on the stimuli we offer.

CITIES

Cities as communities.

The city becomes an open platform for dialogue, giving shape to ideas and momentum to new processes of interaction. Sustainability and urban regeneration are achieved through moments of growth that encourage awareness and participation. The citizen is at the heart of our activities: through them, we bring value to skills, qualities, creativity and experiences, and we encourage socialisation and the sharing of values. By focusing on different audiences, we create projects designed for everyone, becoming a creative platform that connects experiences.

ART

Art as the activation of creative processes.

Through art we create a climate of sharing and participation, fostering the involvement of the community, promoting projects for relational public spaces and giving shape to entirely new visions of the city. Cities Art Projects seeks to be an aggregator of experiences, rooted in the local area yet with its gaze firmly set on the international dimension, through the delivery of projects, workshops and events. Our purpose is to contribute to the development of a society that, through art, embraces its multicultural and multi-ethnic identity. Our projects are born to create new forms of interaction between residents and art, while at the same time offering an opportunity to test the limits of the architectural creative process.

Our projects are built on creativity, participation and a multidisciplinary approach. The aim is to encourage the involvement of a broad and diverse public through projects that can support a process of sustainability and improvement of socio-cultural conditions. We collaborate with artists active in the local area who work primarily through a relational technique, one that is based on the direct involvement of people.

WHO WE ARE

CAP – Cities Art Projects is a non-profit organisation dedicated to sharing and promoting themes connected to art, culture and urban regeneration.
A shared set of values and objectives laid the foundations for this association, which was born from a multidisciplinary team of experts from the worlds of Art and Architecture. We believe these two disciplines are perfectly complementary and that, through a fluid and fertile cross-pollination, they help us to better understand the countless facets of contemporary society. We create projects connected to culture and to the local area, working alongside local partners and professionals across a variety of sectors.
The idea behind CAP is to offer communities a range of expressive channels that promote openness and the overcoming of barriers and boundaries. We provide ideas and stimuli for people to reinterpret their own local area, through the participatory design of activities and the creation of the resulting outcomes, developed through mutual collaboration. These are workshop programmes and artistic interventions across the territory, aimed at discovering the visible and invisible frontiers that characterise the urban spaces of different neighbourhoods.

Benedetta Carpi De Resmini

Benedetta Carpi De Resmini is an art curator and critic whose practice is deeply engaged with gender studies and socially engaged art. Her work operates at the intersection of contemporary art and cultural activism, with the aim of rethinking the creative process as a social, political, and collective practice. Through curatorial projects, she investigates the relationships between body, identity, space, and power, fostering the visibility of marginalized voices and narratives.
She is currently the curator of Identità oltre confine ( Identity Beyond Borders ), a project promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) - Farnesina Collection. She is also the Director of Latitudo Art Projects.
About herself, she says:
"I am interested in the exchanges and cross-pollinations between artists, rethinking the creative process as a social process."

Paola Farfaglio

Art historian and Project Manager, she specializes in the organization and managment of artistic projects. In particular in her training and work experience she has aquired many skills in the Project Management of project related to the world of Street Art, organization of events and workshops for children and adults.

In her spare time she devoted herself to digital photography, looking for new points of view from wich to observe the world around her.

She's currently Project Management at Latitudo Art Projects and emerging curator for the international platform Magic Carpets.

Gaia Scaramella

Gaia Scaramella trained at the Academy of Fine Arts. Her artistic research began with printmaking and intaglio engraving before gradually expanding to painting, sculpture, and installation, developing into a multidisciplinary practice. In recent years, she has focused her work on the concept of seriality. Her practice embraces social and ecological dimensions, where matter is not merely a support but a living organism and a space for relationships, shaping an ever-evolving body of research. For many years, she has led participatory art workshops for children and young people, where the creative process becomes an opportunity for dialogue and connection.

“My practice moves through matter, body, and relationships: through repetition, the gesture becomes an act of resistance, and each work a trace of memory that invites the viewer not to remain indifferent.”

Giacomo Zipoli

Giacomo Zipoli, architect and PhD in Environmental Design, founded his professional studio in 1994, dedicating his activity above all to operational and design research in two very distinct fields on the subject of time: the time of consumption, fast and fleeting, and "static", cyclical and repetitive time, the horizontal time and vertical time.

He investigates the first field through design with an ephemeral and transitory character (museum and exhibition installations, complex events, exhibitions and sets); the second is interested in the design of open spaces, both urban (such as squares, streets, parks, courtyards ...) and landscape and larger ones (parks, woodland interventions, etc.).
